SCOPE is an integral part of BIL Armenia, offering medical students the chance to participate in professional exchanges that provide hands-on clinical experience in diverse healthcare settings worldwide. Through this program, students not only enhance their medical knowledge but also engage in rich cultural exchanges, fostering a global perspective on healthcare.

Incoming and Outgoing Exchanges 2024

In July and August 2024, BIL Armenia welcomed around 20 international students who undertook professional exchanges at some of Armenia’s hospitals. These students gained valuable clinical practice at:

• Muratsan Hospital Complex

• Heratsi No. 1 Hospital Complex

• Mikayelyan Surgery Institute

Beyond their medical experience, students were immersed in Armenian culture. BIL Armenia organized a series of cultural events, including a traditional Armenian food and drink evening and guided tours to famous landmarks like Yerevan, Garni, Geghard, the Symphony of Stones, and Gyumri. These activities provided a unique opportunity for cultural exchange, enriching their knowledge of Armenian history and traditions.

At the same time, around 10 Armenian students participated in outgoing exchanges to countries such as the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, and Russia, where they also experienced cultural activities and tours to understand the local cultures. These exchanges not only broaden the students' clinical expertise but also deepen their appreciation for the healthcare systems and traditions of other nations.
